About Me

Ahoy! I am Alexandra Young, and I am a proud product of the Mobile County Public School System. I attended Old Shell Road, Dunbar, Burns, and Davidson High. I studied English - Secondary Education at Louisiana State University and marched for the Golden Band from Tigerland. I completed my master's degree in Instructional Technology and Design in 2020. I have 15 years of teaching experience at the middle school and high school level in Louisiana and Tennessee. This is my third year teaching at Phillips Preparatory, and I am so happy to be aboard the ship!

I am currently the Language & Literature Department Chair, a co-adviser for the PPS chapter of the National Junior Honor Society, and a co-sponsor for the National History Day Club.
